In February of 1999, two of our members were attending an Anniversary Revival at a church in Flat River, Missouri
.During their worship experience there they were prophesied to by Sister Evelyn Shave (Sah-vey)and told to "dig a new well." They had been away from church and formal worship for three years until this time and had been searching for the way in which God would have them serve Him.
Because of this prophecy, they contacted several other people they knew who had also felt the "call" upon their lives to do something in ministry for the Lord. With the heip of Rev. Vivian Gordon, Dianna Thomas, Gail Lowry, Linda Williams and Debra Scarlet, they began holding Bible Studies. With others soon joining them and Ordinations bestowed by Rev. Vivian, a well-traveled, licensed and ordained Minister/Evangelist through the Apostolic Church of God, Pastor Dianna and Pastor Gail began Sunday Worship Services held in the basement of the home of Pastor Dianna and Sister Deb.
Well of Living Water Ministries has now been in existence well over five years and has grown both physically and spiritually.
These four had felt that God wanted them to begin a church for all who are lost and hungry in Belleville, Illinois and the surrounding metro area. That has now become a reality through God's mighty power and the labors of numerous church friends and members.
The church moved from the basement of Pastor Dianna and Sister Deb's home to a building in Belleville that housed us for almost 2 years. Because God gave the increase in people, the need was felt to move to a larger building.
With much prayer and fasting the building next door opened up and God made the way for us to establish it as our new place of Worship and Study.
We moved into the new building in September 2007 and held our first Conference in October.
With each move God has brought new people and new members to "The Well". Without these faithful members we could not suceed as the Ministry God has called forth.
Well of Living Water Ministries has had many changes and looks forward to what God has in store for us next.
During this short period of time after the church was established, the Rev. Gail Lowry went home to be with her Lord and Savior and she is sadly missed, though we know that she now has a first hand knowledge of the hope we all have of our future in Christ.
There have been trials along the way but with each challenge we encountered, we became stronger in our faith. We know that God has a plan and we are a part of it. Won't you come and join us and together we can become a part of the body of Christ, living and loving Jesus!
